I know I haven't updated in like forever, so before you scream at me, here's what's been going on.

Classes are now in full swing, and I'm in the middle of the first load of papers. I have four papers due this week, then a break until the end of November and then I have another four papers due. (Why can't they balance them more over the semester?) Anyways, I've actually been learning quite a bit as I've had to research the roots of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

I've fallen in love with the writings of many early theologians, and have started reading some of them just on my own time.

In other news, I finally got my computer more or less working. I have a new graphics card, and think I have diagnosed why it randomly restarts. I'm pretty sure that the power supply is overheating. Solution: I took the cover off and the added airflow has helped. Eventually I'll have to replace it though.

I also just got a new game called World of Warcraft. Man alive, is it ever addicting. I can play it for hours and then look up and realize that I've missed two meals and haven't been to the bathroom in 7-8 hours. (Don't worry, I'm setting limits on myself, I just got the game.)

My roommates are awesome too. Greg's from Ontario and is a junior. Jon's a local and is a senior. That leaves me: a sophomore . But we have great times together going to get wings etc.

I'm also really excited about Wednesday. Wednesday we go to Boston Pizza for the Canuck's season opener. Should be a fun party!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I need to work on my papers. Feel free to drop me a note.

Had my first real full day of classes today, and boy was it interesting. First I get up at 7 in the morning. No problems there, but when I get to my 8 o'clock class, the professor tells us he's forgotten his notes in Mission, almost 20 min drive away. He says not to worry that his wife is faxing them, but that still takes about 20 min. It's now 8:25 and the prof is feeling the pressure that he won't get to finish his lecture, so he speeds it up a little. I'm fine with that, but it means a pretty heavy amount of info to digest in a short amount of time.

After that , I turn around and go straight to Anabaptist Theology. Fun class. I still am not sure how much I'm going to agree with the prof over some issues. It's another academic and takes me a lot of energy to try and digest.

Then comes lunch which is fine. I get some reading that I really needed to get started on out of the way and begin work on my first assignments.

Following lunch, I go to my Cross Cultural Communications course. I love this class. The prof really knows what she's talking about, and also how to present it.

But all of my class day was nothing compared to what followed. We had invited my family over for dinner and it's my night to cook. I decided that I wanted to make something special so I look up a recepie for Chicken Cordon Bleu. Amazingly it turned out (after an hour of work). I also made mashed potatoes and corn on the cob as well as broccoli. For my first time ever cooking a full meal I'd say it went relatively well, but I don't want to cook for seven again in a long long time.

Well I'm rambling so I'll just close with the fact that my friend Kyle from Cross Cultural dropped in tonight and asked if I wanted to play poker. I took him up on it. Seems like this might be a regular and fun evening activity. We'll see.

Oh yeah.....and......GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(just for you Malone)

Well I'm finally back online. I just moved out of my parents place and into my apartment with 2 guys from school. I had my first classes on Thursday and I'm pretty pumped about them. The only one I'm not to sure about is Anabaptist Theology, but I like the prof so maybe it'll be okay. The school's really different from when I went here two years ago. Heck, there's almost no one I know still going here. My roomies are cool though. I can't wait to actually get to spend some time with them. I'll put some pics in later once I get more set up. Right now I just thought that I'd better update before I totally forgot about this. Anyways that's all for now

Utter boredom. I'm half enjoying having nothing to do for August, but at the same time I'd just as soon be able to move into my own place. Right now my computers sitting on a table. I don't even have a desk for it. But I guess there are other advantages to living at home.

Because I have absolutly nothing to do it means I'm in front of the computer a lot. So don't be surprised if you see me online a lot more than usual. This also means that I find out all the shortfalls or annoying things about my computer. Like the fact that 1) the graphics card can barely handle any good games and 2) all the other games I have that work seem to crash half way through.

So I'm looking for a new graphics card. Maybe that'll help.

It's almost 11 here so I'm going to bed but thought I'd better put something down as an update. More later.

Well it's off to church this morning. I'm kinda excited because it's my home church that I haven't attended for over a year. I'll get to see lots of my old friends. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend there . Oh well. Gotta run. Will update later
